Only needed .5m3 for a water tank slab but no problems unlike regular mini mixes in the area. Very helpful, friendly and clean. Got a timely call as delivery would be late due to a previous job going over time. Will be calling these guys for all my small jobs in the future.

We recently engaged Concrete Taxi to pour 3.2 cubic metres @ 32mpa for the footings of a 30 sandstone block fire pit. From the time that we first spoke to the representative that answered the phone until the job was completed, we were most impressed with the professionalism and client service orientation of the company staff members. Of particular note was the excellent service provided by Dimitri on the day of the pour. Upon arrival Dimitri ensured that he familiarized himself with the particular needs of our project and provided specific specialized advice that improved our outcomes. As the job progressed he ensured that he was meeting our specific needs and when all hands were needed on deck he pitched in and gave an extra hand as needed. Dimitri was a pleasure to deal with, he was very client service focused and bent over backwards to ensure that our needs were met. We found Dimitri to be a great ambassador for the company and would have no hesitation in recommending him and Concrete Taxi to other clients.

Had Plamen supply 2m3 in north Brisbane area yesterday. Was punctual, professional and super helpful with advice and physical assistance which as an inexperienced DIY concreter was fantastic. Also got quantity spot on so not waste. Yes, you pay a little more with concrete taxi than bulk load but the advice from Plamen and no waste well and truly make up for it. Second time using concrete taxi and both times have been a great experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Concrete Calculator?

A concrete calculator is an invaluable tool designed to help you estimate the amount of concrete required for your project. By inputting the length, width, and depth of the area you plan to cover, the calculator provides an accurate measurement of the volume and weight of concrete needed.

This ensures you order the right amount, avoiding the pitfalls of over- or under-ordering. Whether you’re working on concrete slabs, driveways, or any other concrete project, this tool simplifies the planning process, saving you time, money, and resources. Simply enter your project dimensions into the calculator, and it will do the rest, giving you a clear idea of the concrete required.

What Factors Affect Concrete Cost?

The cost of concrete can vary based on several key factors. Understanding these can help you budget more effectively for your project. Firstly, the size of your project plays a significant role; larger projects naturally require more concrete, which can increase costs. Secondly, the type of concrete you choose—whether it’s plain, reinforced, or exposed aggregate—can also affect the price.

Additionally, the location of your project matters; urban areas often have higher concrete prices compared to rural areas. Lastly, the complexity of the job can influence costs, especially if specialised labour or equipment is needed. By considering these factors, you can get a more accurate quote and plan your project more efficiently.

How much would it cost to pour a 20x20 concrete slab?

To pour a 20×20 concrete slab, whether for a shed foundation or part of a driveway upgrade, you can calculate costs based on length, width, and a typical depth of 100-150mm. As a rough estimate, Concrete Taxi charges around $240 for 0.1m³ of 20MPa concrete delivered, with savings as volume increases, often winding up cheaper than hardware store prices with the added benefit of no material wastage.
