The role
We are on the lookout for a full-time engineering assistant/ technical specialist, interested in a dynamic role supporting our engineering team. This individual will have an interest in learning and assisting in truck mechanics and maintenance of our warehouse. The position actively involves production and management of our nationally growing truck fleet, with opportunity to work alongside manufacturing teams expanding knowledge and experience.
Key duties:
- Inbound/ outbound of truck parts- receiving, inspecting, storage, handling, picking, packing, dispatching
- On demand delivery/pickup to suppliers
- Preventive maintenance control (services) – monthly follow up for logbook maintenance, purchasing parts for arranged services.
- Drive truck between workshops
- Communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Possess strong organisational and time management abilities- punctual, thorough, and reliable
To be successful, you will:
- Must have or willing to obtain a HR driver license
- Have proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, word)
- Industry experience relevant to mechanics
- Intermediate/ advanced English
Desired but not required skills/ experience:
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Experience in Inventor, AutoCAD
- Assist in the development of troubleshooting manuals
- Genuine industry interest to further develop skills, knowledge and experience
