Mini mix concrete for the smallest pours on site, mixed fresh when we arrive and metered to the exact volume you use. From 0.1m³, with no minimum order and nothing left over to pay for or cart away.
Post holes, garden edging, a shade sail base, a patch in a cracked path. These are the jobs where ordering concrete usually costs more in waste than in concrete. Our trucks carry the dry materials and water and batch on site, so a 0.3m³ pour is billed as a 0.3m³ pour. Mini mix concrete delivery is part of our full concrete delivery range, alongside small batch concrete delivery and ready mix concrete.

Mini mix concrete is a small load of concrete batched to order rather than delivered pre-mixed. Traditional suppliers work in fixed increments, usually starting somewhere around 0.5m³ or higher, with a small-load fee on top. If your job needs 0.2m³, you buy 0.5m³, pay the fee, and then work out what to do with the extra before it goes off.
We do it the other way around. The truck arrives with cement, aggregate, sand, water, and admixtures on board, and the mixing happens at your site. The meter runs while the concrete comes off the chute and stops when you stop. Order a bit high to be safe, and you are not charged for the difference. Run short halfway through, and the driver mixes more from what is already on the truck.
For pours under about 1m³, that difference is most of the job cost. It also removes the disposal problem, because there is no leftover load sitting in a drum that has to go somewhere.
Each truck holds up to 2m³ and can batch down to 0.1m³. That lower figure is the number that matters for mini mix work. It covers a couple of post holes, a letterbox plinth, or a strip of garden edging, without you having to find a supplier willing to take the booking.
Every mix runs to Australian Standards. We batch at three grades:
Slump is set to the job, and set-accelerants are available (we carry Sika Set and Rapidard) for pours that need to firm up quickly. If you are unsure which grade your job calls for, tell the office what you are pouring, and they will match it.

Small pours are usually in awkward places. Behind the shed, down the side of the house, in a courtyard with a gate at one end.
A Concrete Taxi truck is 2.6 metres wide and 6 metres long, which is well under a standard in-transit agitator. That gets us down laneways, onto sloped driveways, and into residential blocks where a full-size truck would need traffic management or would simply not fit. Less setup, less risk to finished paving and turf on the way in.
If you have been searching for a mini concrete truck for a small pour, this is what you are after: a mini mix concrete truck that batches on arrival, gets close to the work, and carries only what the job needs.
Where the truck still cannot reach the pour zone, we bring two wheelbarrows and leave them with you at no extra cost.
The fleet runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including public holidays. Small jobs tend to get squeezed into whatever time you have, so the booking window is built around that rather than around trade hours.
If your job is bigger than about 1m³, small batch concrete delivery is usually the better fit, and trade or commercial work is covered under ready mix concrete. Same trucks, same on-site batching, sized differently. Call the office if you want a hand working out which one your pour sits under.
Ordering a small load of concrete is straightforward. Here is what happens between quote and pour.
Concrete Taxi runs a national franchise network across 13 service areas, covering metro, suburban, and selected regional zones. Every job is handled by the local franchisee, so you deal with the crew that works in your area.
Not sure whether we reach your suburb? Call 1300 880 955 and we will check the nearest franchisee to your job.
Mini mix concrete, sometimes written as minimix concrete, is a small load of concrete supplied for jobs too small for a standard delivery. With Concrete Taxi, it is batched on site rather than delivered pre-mixed, so the volume is metered as it comes off the chute. That means small pours from 0.1m³ are charged at what you actually use.
There is no minimum order. We deliver from 0.1m³ up to 2m³ in a single truck, with no small-load surcharge and no minimum charge to work around. A few post holes or a short run of garden edging is a normal booking for us, not an exception, and the price reflects the volume that goes on the ground.
Price depends on your location, the volume, and the mix strength. Because we batch on site and charge for what you use, small pours usually work out cheaper than a standard load plus a small-load fee and disposal of the excess. The quickest way to get a real number is the instant quote calculator. No hidden fees, no disposal charges.
Ready mix is usually pre-mixed at a plant and carried to site in an agitator, which suits larger pours. Mini mix is a small volume batched at your site as you need it. We run the same volumetric trucks for both, so the difference is volume and job type rather than a separate product. Under about 1m³, mini mix is the better fit.
A day or two ahead gives you the best choice of time slot. Same-day is often possible depending on the service area and how the local fleet is running that day. If the pour is urgent, call 1300 880 955 and the office will check what the nearest franchisee can do.
Mini mix concrete delivered across Australia, batched fresh on site from 0.1m³ at 20, 25, or 32 MPa. No minimum order, no small-load fee, no waste to dispose of, and trucks that fit where a full agitator cannot.
Put your location and volume into the instant quote calculator, and we will email you a price. If you would rather talk the job through first, phone the office and a franchisee near you will take you through it.
