Ready Mix Concrete for Builders and Trades

Ready-mix concrete for the sub-2m³ jobs traditional suppliers do not service well. On-site batching, exact volumes, and small-truck access are built for reno sites, tight commercial pours, and staged jobs where a full agitator will not fit the site or the schedule.

We work with builders, tradies, and site managers on the smaller pours that sit awkwardly between DIY volume and full-load agitator work. Extensions, kerb and channel, fitout footings, fill-in pours, retail and hospitality slabs, civil landscaping. Part of our full concrete delivery range, alongside small batch concrete delivery and mini mix concrete delivery.

Ready Mix Concrete Built for Trade Work

Standard ready mix is set up for volume. Full agitator trucks run 6m³ or more per load, and if your pour is smaller than that, you are either paying for concrete you will not use, paying a small-load surcharge, or waiting on the truck while it services larger jobs first. On an active site, that gap costs time.

Our trucks are volumetric mixers, sized for the sub-2m³ end of the market, where much of the trade work sits. We arrive with cement, aggregate, water, and admixtures on board, batch to your exact spec at the site, and mix more mid-pour if the job runs long. Every mix runs to Australian Standards. If the job requires multiple loads during a shift, we run trucks back-to-back and stagger them to match your pour schedule.

For trade work that falls between DIY volumes and full agitator loads, this is the option most sites reach for: right-sized, on time, no waste.

Mix Grades and Australian Standards Compliance

We batch ready mix concrete at three standard grades, all produced to Australian Standards.

20 MPa for light-load pours, path work, non-structural infill, and general landscaping.

25 MPa for standard residential and light commercial slabs, driveway extensions, footings, retaining wall bases, and most reno work.

32 MPa for structural footings, workshop and warehouse floors, heavy-vehicle driveways, and commercial slabs designed for sustained load.

Custom slump on request. Set-accelerants available (we carry Sika Set and Rapidard) for cold-weather pours and fast-turnaround work where the pour needs to firm quickly. Useful for retail fitouts and overnight work where the site needs to be trafficable by morning.

Batch dockets and delivery documentation are available on request for jobs that need paperwork for site records, QA sign-off, or engineer certification. Mention the requirement when you book, so the crew brings what you need on the day.

Small Trucks, Full Site Coverage

Concrete Taxi trucks are 2.6 metres wide and 6 metres long. That is significantly narrower and shorter than a standard in-transit agitator, which changes what is possible on a site.

We fit through reno access points, down laneways, into inner-city sites with narrow driveways, and around builds where a full-size truck cannot manoeuvre without traffic control or crane assistance. Less setup, less time lost to logistics, less risk to finished surfaces on the site.

If the truck cannot reach the pour zone directly, we bring two wheelbarrows and leave them with you at no extra cost.

Multi-Truck Delivery and Staged Pours

Each truck carries up to 2m³. For jobs bigger than that, we run multiple trucks back to back and time them to your pour schedule.

Common trade configurations:

  • Consecutive loads. Across a shift, pours of 4m³ to 8m³ are mixed continuously so the concrete stays fresh.
  • Staged loads. Across a day or across a week for multi-pour jobs, coordinating with the site foreman on timing.
  • Split-site loads. Where the same job has two or three pour zones needing separate volumes and grades.

Talk it through with the office before you book. Call 1300 880 955 with your job size, grades, and rough timing, and we will scope the fleet allocation with the nearest franchisee.

24/7 Off-Hours and Weekend Pours

The fleet runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including public holidays. That covers:

  • Early-morning pours before the day heats up on summer sites.
  • Overnight and weekend pours for retail, hospitality, and other sites that cannot close during trade hours.
  • Public holiday work where the timeline does not accommodate standard supplier hours.
  • Weather-window pours where you need the crew ready when the forecast clears.

Rapid-set admixtures are available to help pours firm quickly on sites that need to be back in use by the following business day.

How Trade Bookings Work

Ordering ready mix concrete as a trade user is straightforward.

  1. Call the office or get a quote online. For a single pour, run the volume through the instant quote calculator. For staged jobs, multi-truck bookings, or ongoing site work, call 1300 880 955 directly so we can scope the fleet allocation properly.
  2. Spec the job. Volume, grade, slump, admixtures, and access notes. The office confirms with the franchisee that services your area.
  3. Book the window. Pick a day and time slot. Same-day is often available depending on how the local fleet is running.
  4. Mix on site. The truck arrives with the ingredients on board and batches to your spec. Batch documentation will be supplied on the day if requested at booking.
  5. Invoice. Franchisees issue invoices per pour. Payment options include card, direct transfer, and account arrangements with the local franchisee where established.

Trade and Commercial Applications We Service

Our ready-mix concrete covers the sub-2m³ end of the trade and commercial work most standard suppliers pass on or overcharge for. Common jobs:

  • Reno and extension work: slab extensions, footings, path pours around active builds.
  • Kerb and channel: landscape and civil pours where site access is tight.
  • Retail and hospitality fitouts: internal slab pours, plinths, service pits, floor levelling.
  • Fill-in pours: where the main supplier missed volume, and the site needs a quick top-up to complete.
  • Structural footings: for smaller commercial builds, awnings, shade structures, and site infrastructure.
  • Workshop and light industrial slabs: small-scale pours where 32 MPa is specified.
  • Council and civil work: small culverts, service pits, pathway pours, and utility works.
  • Multi-pour reno jobs: staged delivery matched to the site sequence.
  • Landscaping and hardscape: retaining wall footings, edging, garden bed borders, plinth pours.
  • Repair and remediation: patch pours, slab section replacements, and topping pours.

If your job does not fit any of these neatly, call the office. Chances are, the local franchisee has done one like it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer trade accounts or credit terms?

Franchisees can set up account arrangements for regular trade customers. Terms and setup are handled directly with the local franchisee servicing your area. Call 1300 880 955, and we will connect you with the right person to talk through what suits your job flow.

Can I get batch dockets or mixed documentation for site records?

Yes. Batch dockets and delivery documentation are available on request for jobs that need paperwork for site records, QA sign-off, or engineer certification. Mention the requirement when you book, so the crew brings the paperwork on the day.

What is the biggest job you can handle in one delivery?

Each truck carries up to 2m³. For pours bigger than that, we run multiple trucks back-to-back and time them to your pour schedule. There is no fixed job-size cap. For larger volumes, we scope the fleet allocation with the local franchisee. Call the office with your total volume and pour window, and we will confirm what is possible.

Is there a minimum order for trade bookings?

No. We deliver from 0.1m³ up to 2m³ per truck with no small-load surcharge, no minimum order charge, and no disposal fees. For smaller trade jobs like fill-in pours or fit-out footings, this removes the awkward gap where a full agitator load is not viable.

Can you handle off-hours or weekend site pours?

Yes. The fleet runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including public holidays. Overnight retail pours, weekend commercial work, and public-holiday jobs are all part of the standard service. Book ahead where you can, and call the office for urgent same-day work.
